How much does a fire door cost in Georgia?

In short: There is no single price for a fire door. The cost is driven by the fire-resistance class (EI 30 to EI 120), the size, whether it is single or double leaf, the hardware, the finish and the quantity, plus installation and certification documents. Because every Unigon order is made to measure, our price is on request — a per-project quote rather than a shelf price.

There is no single price for a fire door, and anyone who gives you one without asking about your project is guessing. The cost is driven by the fire-resistance class, the size, whether the door is single or double leaf, the hardware, the finish and the quantity — before you add installation and the certification documents. Because every Unigon order is made to measure, our figure is a per-project quote, not a shelf price.

This guide explains what actually moves the number, so you can read any quotation — ours or anyone else's — with a clear head.

What drives the price of a fire door

Think of the price as built up from decisions, not read off a tag. Each line below pushes the total up or down.

Price driver

How it affects cost

Fire-resistance class (EI 30–120)

A higher class generally means more material and a more demanding construction, so it tends to cost more

Size

Standard sizes are the most economical; custom and oversized openings cost more to build

Single vs double leaf

A double-leaf door is a larger, more complex assembly than a single leaf

Hardware

A closer, an anti-panic (push-bar) exit device or a smart lock each add cost on top of the leaf

Finish / RAL colour

A specified colour or finish can add to a plain unit

Quantity

A block of identical doors is quoted differently from a one-off

Installation

Fitting on site, organised by floor, is a line of its own

Certification & handover documents

The certificate pack for inspection is part of a complete supply

The point of the table is this: two "fire doors" can differ in price several times over and both be fairly priced, because they are different specifications. A bare EI 30 single leaf in a standard size is not the same product as an EI 90 double leaf with an anti-panic bar, a closer and a custom finish.

The class is set, not chosen

A tempting way to cut cost is to drop to a lower EI class. You cannot do that on a whim. The required class for each opening comes from the building's fire-safety design, prepared under the technical regulation approved by Government of Georgia Decree No. 41. The designer assigns the class to the opening; procurement's job is to buy the door that meets it, with a certificate to prove it. Saving money by under-specifying a protected opening is not a saving — it is a failed inspection waiting to happen.

Where you do have room to optimise is everything else: standard sizes where the opening allows, sensible hardware choices, and buying a block of doors together rather than piecemeal.

Market context in Georgia — a reference, not our price

To set expectations, here is third-party market context, clearly dated and attributed. These are market figures, not Unigon prices.

  • As of October 2026, market price guides quote iron and entrance doors in the Georgian market at roughly 350–2,000 GEL for factory models and 1,200–6,000 GEL for custom work. (Source: market price guides, Oct 2026.)
  • One competitor lists an EI 90 fire door at about 1,250 GEL. (Source: competitor listing, Oct 2026.)

Treat these as a sense of the landscape, nothing more. They are not quotations, they are not current for your configuration, and they are not what Unigon charges. A real number for your project only comes from your specification.

Why Unigon quotes per project

We do not publish a fixed price because we do not sell a fixed product. Almost every order is made to your measurements and your schedule, so the honest answer to "how much?" is price on request — a quote built against your doors.

Unigon supplies entrance doors in EI 30 and EI 60 and fire doors in EI 45, EI 60, EI 90 and EI 120, in standard and custom sizes, all with certified fire resistance. When a specific figure is needed — a dimension, a hardware detail — it comes from the data sheet and is confirmed per project, never invented to close a sale. The quote covers the leaf, the hardware you specify, the finish, installation if you need it, and the certificate handover pack.

How to get a firm quote fast

The quality of your quote depends on the quality of your brief. To price well, we need:

  • The **required class** per opening (from your door schedule or fire-safety design)
  • **Sizes** — standard or custom — for each opening
  • **Single or double leaf** per door
  • **Hardware**: closer, anti-panic bar, smart lock, as specified
  • **Finish / RAL** if a specific colour is required
  • **Quantity** and whether you need **installation**
  • Whether the **certificate pack** is to be handed over for inspection

Send that and we can turn a per-project quote around quickly, with the certificates that back every class.

FAQ

Common questions

Why won't you just publish a price list?

Because a fire door is specified, not picked off a shelf. The class, size, leaf configuration, hardware and quantity all change the figure, and most of our work is custom-sized. A per-project quote is the only honest number.

Is a higher EI class always more expensive?

Generally a higher class involves more material and a more demanding construction, so it tends to cost more — but size, hardware and quantity often move the total more than the class alone. The right class is set by your fire-safety design, not chosen to save money.

What market prices are quoted in Georgia?

As a third-party reference dated October 2026, market price guides quote iron and entrance doors at roughly 350–2,000 GEL for factory models and 1,200–6,000 GEL for custom, and one competitor lists an EI 90 fire door at about 1,250 GEL. These are market figures, not Unigon prices.

Does the price include installation and documents?

It can. Installation and the certificate handover pack are part of the specification we quote against, so tell us whether you need fitting and documents and we will price them in.

What do you need from me to quote?

A door schedule, or at minimum the required class per opening, the sizes, the leaf configuration and the hardware you need. The more complete the schedule, the faster and firmer the quote.
